Taking Flight « Thread Started on Feb 10, 2007, 12:08am »
Her large, pearl blue eyes took in the land as she flew past. All of the violence below made her happy. Friesca snorted, and a jet of flame burst out of her mouth. Sighing she lighted down, extending her strong, long legs. Jolting slightly from the landing, Friesca stared at a crocodile nearby. A smile lit upon her lips as she sent a tiny puff of fire at it. The crocodile took off, waddling away. She took big, careful steps as she walked across the ground. You never knew what you were going to step on. A shift under her made Friesca lose her balance. Getting up she realized that she was completly covered in dust. Smiling she shook herself, trying to get as much dust off as she could. When she got it all off Friesca sat and waited for another one of her kind to show up.

A long dark gray dragon tucked his wings to himself as he swam under the great water. Pale green eyes watching the small fish, sharks and crocodiles swim by. Ahead a fairl large crocodile took off wadling into the shallows he took into the se, he had been startled. Squinting his eyes he looked through the surface of the water grom below, another dragon. Dipping lower into the sea he twisted into a streight aim for the skys. Spreading his wings jut as he hit the air he took flight, above the water. Hovering for a moment he looked at the otehr dragon on the shore, Friesca. He flapped his wings once, shaking the dropplets of water that had gathered off. Swooping he landed on the shore and lifted his head to Friesca's eye level. Hello Friesca he said kindly.

Friesca turned her head to the grey dragon. Her pearl blue eyes took him all in as she lowered her head in greeting."Hello, Janix." She said in a low voice. She flicked her tail, sending the remaning dust flying."I didn't expect to see anyone here for a while." she shifted slightly, the sand was nice and hot. Looking up at the sky Friesca closed her eyes until they were slits. The wind was slight, and her whiskers blew slightly. Turning her head back to Janix and smiled slightly."The wind is low today, not very good for flying." She unfolded her wings to give them a stretch.

Janix nodded to Friesca, before glacing to the sky. The palm trees blew just slightly, and the clouds barely moved. I agree, At least the wind isn't ripping he said quietly as she shifted on the hot sand. The sun isn't letting up though he said with a slight smerk. Looking around a small crocodile scrabled out of its sandy bed and raced accross the beach to the ocean. Waddling into the water it swam away leaving a small trail of ripples as it went.

Friesca nodded slightly."True, the sun isn't letting up, but I enjoy the heat. It always seems to relax me." Her eyes followed the crocodile until it slipped into the water,"sometimes I wonder what they think. I mean, they always seem to fight and I just wonder why." Her blue eyes seemed sinciere when she spoke to him." Janix, why do you think that dragons and togers hate each other so much? Everyone has their own opinion, but I just don't know who to believe."

Janix brought his long almost black tail around close to him, and sat up streighter. He gazed up at the coulds, then at the small ripples in the water as the crocodile swam away. Her question, "I don't know Freisca, maybe it is just the old war that is still raging in everyones' blood. An age old war that might never end." Then he switched his pale green eyes back to her with simpathy, "I just hope no dragon or tiger descides to open that old war again, angering both sides causing an internal war..." He trailed off in dismay.

Oscuro flew up ahead. His silky fur ruffled in the wind and his tail snaked back and forth as he slipped through the sky. Catching a glance of the dragons bellow he shifted and rocked down toward them. He landed in the warm sand with a soft poof of dust. Shaking he instantly grabbed into their topic.
" Tigers," He snarled. He hated them and did not wish them the best. " Those greedy foul creatures," He continued on raging. " They love causing death" He spat the last sentence, his aggression was clear. He wrapped his bristling tail close, his eyes in tight slits.

Janix turned his head towards the sky as he heard something approching. Blinking his pale eyes he saw Oscuro, the healer approching. When she spoke he shut his eyes in thought. "True, but still they do not deserve to spill our blood, even if they are scoundrals".Pushing himself up a little higher he looked into the forest and towards the tigers border with the dragons, he worried that there might be someone daring enough to try and start the age old war again.

Oscuro jumped, his blue and amber eyes both twinkled. " If they spill our blood, I'm going to bite their neck!"Oscuro breathed out heavily, the fur on his back bristling like the spines on a porcupines back. His pupils tightened even more, into hair thin lines of black. His nostrils flared out into full O's and his neck fur ruffled. His muscles rippled under his fur, which gleamed like the ocean in the straight sun. The waves crashed restlessly on the shore, and sent a pile of crocs scattering in different directions. Seagulls called out in alarm and swooped above their heads, enraged at the noise that they were making. Their not so reserved them selves! Oscuro thought angrily as a gull swooped down and plucked one silky strand of aqua mane fur. Oscuro licked his chops thoughtfully at the thought of closing his fangs into the bird small body. But that would be against the rules.

Friesca looked calmly at Oscuro, understanding in her eyes. "I thought you were supposed to be a healer." She said in a low rumble. There is so much anger, she thought briefly. It saddened her, but that was the way things were. A small shape caught her eye and she turned her elegant head to see what it was. A smile crept onto her lips as she saw a baby alligator was waddling on the sand, watched closely by its' mother."It's amazing how protective these animals are with their young." She said aloud to her companions.

"Oscuro, you are a healer and will be dowing no harm to any animal, except prey." he hissed the words in anger. Whiping his tail around close to him he switched his gaze to listin to Friesca. Looking to hte dark green creatures looming by the water he spotted who she was talking about. He nodded. "They are kind, then they can be vicious."

" I am a healer" Oscuro growled warningly." And what are you supposed to be? A little "fighter'?" Oscuro's tongue slipped out and curved like a smile. His gentle eyes blazed in triumph and he padded down by the water, carfully twisting his ears in their direction.
As he bent over to lap a mouthful of salty ocean h2o, he couldn't help but to notice his narrow face. His whiskers turned out at the end of his muzzle and saber teeth sprouted out the front of his mouth. He truly looked like a general, not a healer. But he couldn't help but to want to help creatures.
Taking a quiet drink, he closed his eyes lazily and allowed his whiskers to drift to their limit in the current.
